The Connection Centre is a new healing destination located in North Adelaide. With the intention to bring together a range of healing and wellness practitioners, run events and workshops and help people to connect to themselves and others.

The centre provides you with access to the best Modalities that create Healthy Wellness for your MIND,BODY,SOUL. 

The Branding Process

We didn’t follow my typical branding process to the letter as we were working to expedited timeframe for this health and wellness branding. It was actually a learning experience for me to stick to my time and process boundaries as what I initially thought would save time added to the process. By trying to do things more quickly there was an initial lack of clarity but we got there in the end (and the work was not wasted) as you’ll see below!

The Connection Centre’s AstroBrand Signature

This was a tricky one because on the surface it appeared to be an initiative led solely by Toni Stevens.

Toni and I first worked together through the AstroBrand Signature service and I initially created this mood-board based on her AstroBranding signature of Gemini-Aquarius-Cancer.

Initial Health and Wellness Branding Concept

I drew inspiration from the Begonia flower - the flower of connection and angels wings as this is one of Toni’s brand archetypes - the angel.

I also brought in leaves and branches to symbolise growth.

All was not as it seemed!

When Toni shared it with her husband and business partner friend it became clear to her that this business was actually a collaboration and it needed to feel like home to them too.

So after initially looking at Toni’s signature we then chose to bring in the energy of her business partner’s sun sign as well - meaning that this health and wellness branding evolved into a Cancer-Virgo AstroBrand. 

The next step in the process was to refine the mood board to encapsulate the multi-person energy and come up with a creative brief for the brand. 

We went back to the drawing board with a clearer vision to bring in an earthier brand palette. You’ll see we kept a number of the colours but also replaced some of the brighter colours out with earthier ones.

Toni still loves the original brand palette and it will make a comeback in her new branding for her other business!

The Revised Brand Concept

The second round of Brand Identity was more fruitful with and the following revision only required minor tweaks before they signed off.

This brand is now live over at The Connection Centre (FB) and Instagram and the business is officially launching in 2021.

Sign Mock-ups

As I knew this logo was going to be used in a physical sign I created some mockups for the clients of how it could look.
